YAML Validator Now Available for Customers
We have added a new YAML Validator to the SuperStream portal for all existing customers.
This new tool helps you check your SuperStream configuration before using it, so you can catch common mistakes earlier and spend less time wondering why something is not working in-game.
What it does
The YAML Validator lets you paste your config into a full-page editor and see issues as you work.
It can help spot things like:
- broken YAML formatting
- missing required values
- unknown actions
- incorrect option names
- config sections that may need attention
When the validator finds something, it shows the issue on the right side of the page and highlights the affected line in the editor. You can click an issue to jump directly to the part of the config that needs attention.
Why this improves your workflow
YAML can be picky. A small spacing issue, a missing value, or one incorrect option can stop a config from behaving the way you expected.
The validator gives you a quicker feedback loop:
- paste or write your config
- review any warnings or errors
- jump straight to the affected line
- fix the issue
- validate again instantly
This makes it much easier to clean up a config before testing it on your server.
How to use it
Open the portal and click the Validator tab.
From there, paste your SuperStream YAML into the editor. The page will check your config automatically while you work.
You can also use editor-style shortcuts such as Tab and Shift + Tab for indentation, making it more comfortable to edit larger configs directly inside the portal.
Who can access it
The YAML Validator is available to customers through the SuperStream portal.
If you already have customer access, you can start using it from the new Validator tab today.
A smoother way to build
This tool is designed to make configuration work feel less trial-and-error. It does not replace testing your setup in-game, but it gives you a much better starting point before you do.
For anyone editing configs manually, importing examples, or adjusting advanced setups, the validator should make the process faster, clearer, and a lot less annoying.
